Es graduada de la licenciatura en Economía de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (2007). Hizo un máster en Economía en la Universidad de San Andrés (2011) y un doctorado en Economía en la Universidad de Yale (2018). Desde 2018 soy Assistant Professor en la Universidad de Michigan. Su investigación incluyen Economía de la Familia, Economía Laboral, y Desarrollo Económico. En Michigan da cursos de Economía Laboral para estudiantes de grado y posgrado y de Demografía para estudiantes de doctorado.
Abstract
We use rich administrative data from Denmark to study how families’ fertility and career investment decisions interact with firms’ on-the-job training to explain gender gaps in reaching top career positions. Our main contribution to the literature is to demonstrate that gender gaps in career success are jointly determined by the career investments decisions made within the family and by the decision of firms to train selected workers to reach top positions. Our ultimate goal is to evaluate which policies are effective to induce more investments on women’s careers within the family to incentivize firms to promote more women.
